Guided Backcountry Skiing

The National Forest Service has issued Vagabond Ranch a guiding permit for the 2012-2013 season in one of the best areas for backcountry skiing and snowboarding.
Our secret stash includes up to 1,800 vertical feet in a single run, combining steep chutes, glades, and open bowls. The 7 mile trip from Vagabond Ranch is easily accessible via snowmobile and our guides ensure a fun and safe trip. The location ensures low-to-no crowds, a great snowpack and incredible views.
You must have snow safety equipment including an avalanche beacon, probe and shovel. Our general store has safety equipment rentals but quantities are limited and must be reserved in advance. Prices are: beacon- $20/day, probe- $5/day, shovel- $5/day.
