Snowmobile Rentals

Here at Vagabond Ranch, we want to make sure you get to the goods which often includes using a snowmobile. The surrounding terrain is some of the best snowmobile/ski/snowboard access in Colorado. It varies from short 600-800 foot vertical drops that require no hiking to access points that shave hours of skinning uphill with a 2,500 vertical reward. Many of the areas are not possible without snowmobiles. With a snowmobile, it is reasonable to access over 6,000 vertical feet in a day.

We have three snowmobiles available for rental:

2012 Skidoo 800 Summit X- 154" paddle track, 2 seater, ski and snowboard rack included. This is a highly capable mountain snowmobile ready to take you to the best riding areas.

2012 Summit 800- 154" paddle track, 2 seater, ski and snowboard rack and a cargo rack included.

2009 Bearcat- Very powerful trail machine capable of seating 3 and towing 1.

Snowmobile experience is not necessary but it is helpful to access the challenging terrain. Groomed trails are accessible directly from Vagabond Ranch. Machines come with a full tank of gas, tow ropes, maps and instruction prior to departure. Snow safety equipment including beacons, snow shovels and probes are available to rent at Cascade Mountain Supply. Maps are available for purchase if you have your own snowmobile but would like suggestions of where to go.

Rental Rates and Information

$250/full day, $150/half day
$500 Damage deposit charged to credit card. Damage insurance is not included.
Snowmobiles must be booked in advance of your trip to Vagabond Ranch
Must be 21 years of age
Rental hours are 8am-4pm. Your credit card will be charged $50 for every 15 minutes you are late returning your rental. After 1 hour late, you will be charged our rescue fee of $300 while we come look for you.
Customer is responsible for any and all damages incurred while they are in possession of our rental unless damage insurance is purchased.
Customer is responsible for retrieval costs due to non-mechanical issues including running out of gas.
No snowmobiling on Vagabond Ranch property.
A snowmobile agreement must be signed before using rental.
Must go through pre-ride inspection and instruction prior to use.

Snowmobile Passenger Rides

We will take you up to Gravel Mountain where you will enjoy panoramic, stunning views of the Continental Divide. Cost is $75 per person.
